Teacup Pigs Are Turning Out To Be Latest Thing In The Entertainment World

On the 16th episode of 5th season of ‘How I Met Your Mother’, the teacup pigs made their debut on TV.

The pigs have lately become more of a sensation with the celebrities as well kids looking for a tiny pet. The Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has been reported to have a micro pig lately.

Apparently these teacup-pigs were a part of a science project which was to carry out research on organ transplantation and to generate a new source of organs. But surprisingly because of their cute little paws, sparkling eyes and extended ears, the tiny pigs gained great popularity among kids and the celebrities and it was not long before we could see people flooding facebook, twitter, and youtube requesting for the cute little angels.

The tea-cup pigs when born are the size of a cup and weigh around 9Oz. Children see these little piglets as their best pets and unlike cats and other animals which can cause fur diseases, the teacup pigs are the best alternate. Their adorable features combined with the ease of feeding make them the ultimate choice as pet. These miniature creatures retain their owner’s interest even when they are fully grown as they do not grow much larger then 12 inches and a weight of 16 Oz.

On the episode of HIMYM, the teacup pig is a pet of Barney who is borrowed by Ted to act as a perfect bait to woo a pharmacist girl, Tiffany, played by Carrie Underwood. The pig continues his adventure throughout the episode alongside Lily and Marshal, while Marshal is trying to convince Lily to say goodbye to Scooter, who works at a canteen.

The Teacup pigs might be small in size but they sure are making great inroads in the hearts of the people worldwide.
